Two projects were approved in 2010 Basic Science CONACYT call: “Towards a history of election practices in Mexico. 20th century,” supervised by PhD Fausta Gantús, and “War and Treasury: crisis and transformation of the Royal Treasury in New Spain during the independence war (1810-1821),” coordinated by PhD Ernesto Sánchez Santiró.

SEDESOL-INDESOL granted a funding to carry out two projects: “Strengthening and sustainability of the group of community developers for household democratization, in La Tortuga park of the Territorial Unit Valle de Tepepan, Xolalpan” coordinated by PhD Beatriz Schmukler, and “Analysis of the co-responsibility of the organizations of the civil society, the government of the state of Chiapas, and the international cooperation for development in the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals,” under the responsibility of PhD Gabriela Sánchez Gutiérrez.

The Supreme Courte of Justice provided a funding for the degree “Training for household democratization to prevent gender violence in the families,” under the coordination of PhD Beatriz Schmukler.

The Federal Electoral Institute gave a funding for the project: “Sources for a history of electoral practices in Mexico. 20th century,” coordinated by PhD Fausta Gantús.

One project was approved in 2012 Basic Science CONACYT call: “A frontier on tenterhooks. Relationships between Mexico and the Caribbean in the long run (II),” conducted by PhD Laura Muñoz.

Kellog trust provided a funding to develop a training program for young leaders of community foundations in Mexico, managed by PhD Gabriela Sánchez.

PhD Simone Lucatello was invited to take part in a high level group that belongs to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Nobel Award winner in 2007. This group will be in charge of preparing recommendations for the next world report on climate change. Currently, the group has more than 2 500 researches from different disciplines.

PhD Leticia Calderón received approval to spend a sabbatical one-year stay at the University of Texas through the recent 2011-2012 call for CONACYT Program for Postdoctoral and Sabbatical Stays Abroad for the Consolidation of Research Groups.
